Honoring Heroes_ The Impact of Wreaths Across America - Theodore Vitale
Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization founded in 2007, has its roots in a simple act of gratitude. In 1992, Morrill Worcester, owner of Worcester Wreath Company, had surplus wreaths during the holiday season. He honored fallen soldiers by placing these wreaths on the headstones in Arlington National Cemetery. The image of snow-covered wreaths at Arlington touched hearts nationwide when a photograph went viral in 2005. Motivated by this outpouring of support, Morrill and his family and veterans' groups formed Wreaths Across America. The organization's mission is simple yet profound: "Remember our fallen U.S. veterans, Honor those who serve, and Teach our children the value of freedom." This mission is carried out annually on National Wreaths Across America Day, where millions of volunteers lay wreaths on veterans' graves in over 2,100 locations. Theodore Vitale Petore Wreaths have long been a symbol of respect and honor, dating back to ancient times.
